The fast continued for about four hours at the cowshed of Umri village of Chandaus Kotwali in Aligarh. The fast was ended after assurance from the officials. The village head denied the allegations and said that the cows are being looked after with full devotion and honesty in the cow shed. Some people are creating unnecessary ruckus.

Under the leadership of Pandit Parmeshwar Bhardwaj, head of the Defense Department of Vishwa Hindu Parishad, Gau Samprada Extension, Braj Province, a protest was held at the Gaushala of village Umri on December 25, alleging disrespect to the cows, illness of five cows and death of the cows. . SDM Gabhana and Chandaus Kotwal ended the protest by assuring action against the guilty. When no action was taken against the culprits even after 11 days, on January 5 they again went on a fast at Omri Gaushala for about four hours. The hunger strikers demanded action against the culprits.

On receiving information about the fast, Naib Tehsildar Gabhana, Chandaus Kotwal Vinod Kumar, Chandaus BDO Rahul Verma reached the spot. SDM Gabhana told the fasting people to inform them about sending the investigation report to the concerned department. The fast ended on written assurance. Parmeshwar Bhardwaj says that if action is not taken against the culprits, this protest will continue further.
